Fifty years ago, LADD was founded by Peggy Geier and a group of families who believed that individuals with developmental disabilities deserve lives filled with dignity, opportunity and independence. Today, LADD is still guided by the belief that every person has ability and value.
With this belief, LADD empowers adults with developmental disabilities to live, work and connect. As a family member of someone served by LADD, you know the value of a strong support system. Just as families come together to balance strengths and overcome challenges, at LADD, we thrive on unity and togetherness.
Hope, encouragement and compassion from a direct support professional (DSP) can arrive just at the right moment, building upon this unity and togetherness. Has a DSP been an important part of your loved one’s life?
We invite you to join us in celebrating DSPs who have made a significant difference in the lives of adults with developmental disabilities. Light bites and beverages will be provided.
In addition to joining the kick-off meeting, considering donating to the Mark & Mom Fund, which provides bonuses to DSPs, showing our gratitude for their exceptional work. Your donation to the Fund will directly support these deserving professionals.
