LADD’s Smart Living Program is the first-of-its-kind in the nation to combine smart home technologies, virtual support systems and wearables to further independence and improve affordability.
Margaret B. Geier Apartments are located in Kennedy Heights and Find-A-Way Apartments are located off of Oakley Square. Each building has 39 units, many of which are fully accessible. The apartments are subsidized and designed for independent living with onsite management and supports.
While living in their own home, apartment or family residence, LADD’s Community Supported Living Program offers adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to learn and strengthen independent living skills, including learning how to access shopping, banks, churches, recreation opportunities and public transportation resources.
HLADD provides a residential setting that supports a person to reach his/her goals by living with a family or person in a typical home environment.
LADD’s Services for the Ownership and Acquisition of Residences Program (SOAR) is Ohio’s first ever home ownership program for adults with developmental disabilities.
Adults with developmental disabilities are living longer, healthier, more meaningful lives, yet traditional nursing facilities lack staff trained in the needs of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. People with I/DD tend to experience greater isolation and their mental and physical health deteriorates at a more rapid rate. LADD is committed to supporting an individual for the entirety of their adult life. Through increased staff training and the assistance of outside providers coming into the home, LADD is successfully supporting people who would have previously had to relocate because of their higher level of need. Our Senior Living at Victory Parkway Program uses the NTG-Early Detection Screen for Dementia; the Montessori Method to develop activities; and modified services and living environments to meet aging needs for people ages 55 and older.
