Second COVID Vaccine Shots Administered to LADD Community

Feb. 25, 2021

This month, the LADD community reached an exciting milestone in the fight against COVID-19: people who chose to do so received their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Through clinics with the Cincinnati Health Department and Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services, around 81 percent of people supported by LADD have now received both shots.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) consider someone to be fully vaccinated at least two weeks after the second shot.

Efforts began in January to administer vaccines to people supported by LADD and staff during Ohio’s Phase 1A distribution. Moving forward, LADD will continue to share information on community vaccination opportunities and will connect any new employees who are interested in the vaccine to the Cincinnati Health Department or other vaccine providers.

As we cautiously inch toward a new normal, we remain united in ensuring the safety, health and well-being of our LADD community.
