It all started when I was working at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, in their Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). My current girlfriend Mary Sarah Kirley was a student in the work study program, through Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center called Project SEARCH. I was eating lunch one day around 11:30 a.m. I saw the group sitting at a table with their instructor Mrs. Tina Martin. I went over to their table & introduced myself to everyone. Suddenly there she was, Mary Sarah Kirley the new possible love of my life sitting right in front of me! A few years later, I had left Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center to go work at the Madisonville True Alternatives (AKA The Gentle Cycle) laundromat. At the time, my work shift was 8:15 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. This meant that I caught the bus back to LADD’s Victory Parkway campus at 1:26 p.m. Little did I know, my current girlfriend Mary Sarah Kirley was on that same bus also! After a while, we started talking & getting to know each other. One day we were talking on the bus & I got up the nerve to ask Mary Sarah if she had any interest in being my girlfriend. She smiled back at me & said “Let me think about it.” The next afternoon, we saw each other on the bus again. We were getting on board the Metro bus #51 Uptown – Glenway Crossing – Crosstown bus & then the bus approached Mary Sarah’s stop. As she was getting off the bus at her, I smiled at Mary Sarah & “goodbye my friend.” Mary Sarah smiled back at me & said “I love you sweetheart babe & I’ll see you tomorrow!” From that day on, we’ve loved each other ever since!
